Basketball Betting Lines

02/22/2012 - Washington, DC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Marcus Thornton and Tyreke Evans scored 22 points apiece on Wednesday, leading the Kings to a 115-107 win over the Wizards.

Sacramento had lost a season-high six straight games, but got 18 points from Isaiah Thomas and 16 points and 16 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins to head into the All-Star break with a win.

The Wizards, meanwhile, have lost four in a row. They were paced by Jordan Crawford's 32, while John Wall added 21 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.

The Kings trailed by eight at the half and 101-100 late in the fourth before using a 12-2 run to grab control.

Thomas had six points during the burst, including a scoop layup under the outstretched arm of Wall after a Thornton steal. Chuck Hayes capped it with a pair of free throws for a 112-103 lead with under two minutes to play and the Wizards didn't threaten the rest of the way.

Earlier, Washington scored the final four points of the opening quarter to take a 34-29 lead into the second. Crawford then opened with a 17-footer and followed Shelvin Mack's short jumper with a three-point play for a 41-29 lead.

Later in the quarter, the advantage was still 12, 63-51, when Sacramento reeled off a 9-2 run. Cousins had four points during the burst before Jimmer Fredette completed a three-point play to make it 65-60. Crawford responded with a jumper and Wall made a free throw in the closing seconds for a 68-60 lead at the break.

The Kings pulled even in the third.

Thornton scored eight points during a 12-2 surge which made it 78-78 with just under five minutes to go. Nick Young and Crawford answered with back-to-back three-pointers, but Sacramento closed the quarter with a 10-5 run to pull within one, 89-88, after three.

Stanley Cup betting

New York, NY – October 3, 2007 – The dress rehearsal is over! The NHL preseason has ended and now that fans have had a glimpse of what is to come it is time to hit the book! Stanley Cup odds are live at MySportsbook.com, the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino.

The Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings remain on top of the odds charts after an impressive start in the preseason. Betting lines opened for both teams at 6-1 in June. Since then the Sens have fallen to 7-1 and the Red Wings are now caught in a pack including the defending champion Carolina Hurricanes, the San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks, all at 10-1.

MySportsbook.com has also posted props on each team’s point total for the regular season. The Senators lead the charge at 108.5 followed by the Ducks at 106.5. Detroit will attempt a repeat for the prize as the Red Wings are deadlocked with the Predators at 104.5 a piece. The temporary loss of highly touted rookie Evgeni Malkin puts a lot of pressure on the stick of assistant captain Sidney Crosby - his lowly Pittsburgh Penguins are listed at 71.5.

Even if bettors are not brave enough to put their money on the underdog, an early bet on the favorites at sportsbook.com tends to produce bigger payouts than a mid-season wager. Placing a $1,000 bet last summer on the Detroit Red Wings or Ottawa Senators would have paid out to $8,000 and $10,000 respectively, opposed to a $2,500 or $3,000 payout at the beginning of the playoffs.
